EMRP project Metrology for processing materials with high natural radioactivity (IND57 MetroNORM) will develop new methods and devices for the measurement of naturally occurring radionuclides as well as new reference materials for their calibration.
Partners will be presenting at the conference. The LLMT working group examines techniques to enable the detection of ever lower amounts of radioactivity in smaller samples and for a variety of existing and new applications. The working group focuses on the latest developments in a variety of areas, including radionuclide production, nuclear medicine, measurement of environmental radioactivity and of radionuclides in food and drinking water, decommissioning of nuclear facilities, nuclear security and emergency preparedness, and nuclear physics research, among others. It is planned to publish the conference proceedings in a refereed scientific journal. The conference on average brings together 130-150 experts worldwide for presentations and discussion covering the techniques, applications and data in the field of low-level radioactivity measurement.
