NPL is involved in an industrial project on ‘Measurement of System Strength in the GB grid’.
Project lead ‘SSEN - Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission’ is now organising a public dissemination webinar.
The project about system strength measurement has its focus on real-time measurement of frequency-dependent impedance as an input to small-signal stability analysis.
The project completed a 3-month Discovery Phase in 2024 and just finished the second stage 6-month Alpha phase.
Further project partners include UK system operators, SSE Renewables and Imperial College London.
