Metalloproteins are important markers for conditions ranging from deficiency diseases to Down’s syndrome but there are no traceable measurement methods available for many of them. EMRP project Metrology for metalloproteins (HLT05 Metallomics) will create methods for quantifying the many different types of metalloprotein to help meet EU regulations, improve diagnosis and improve the quality of patient care.
HLT05 JRP-Partners will hold a metrology workshop during the conference. This conference is the greatest international conference dealing the plasma spectrometry in various application fields. The main focus of the workshop will be on how to establish metrology in clinical diagnosis and what the main challenges in the future will be, also regarding the fast increasing amount of biomarkers which should be addressed.
